The Boys from the County Hell

The Boys from the County Hell are an 8 piece irish rock band formed
in the cold Cleveland Winter of 2000.  Created as a tribute to the
legendary Pogues, their live sets are things of legend, perhaps put
best by the Associated Press, "It was all out, balls to the wall,
take no prisoners...These guys had the crowd from the first note and
didn't lost them all night.  This was bedlam."

The BFCH over the last 8 years have toured the Mid-West, performed at
the New York, New York Casino in Las Vegas, and even played a St. Patrick's
Day  performance in Bankok, Thailand.  Their reputation even made it's way back
to the Pogues themselves, and they were hired by founding member
Spider Stacey as his backing band for a Mid-West Tour.

Comprising the band is an all-star cast from the Cleveland rock scene
featuring Doug McKean (lead vocals, guitar), Dave McKean (drums),
Aaron Pacitti (banjo), Chris Allen (mandolin, guitar), Tom Prebish
(bass), Ryan Foltz (whistle), Nick Stipanovich (accordian), and Chris
Yohn (Fiddle).

THE BOYS ARE:

Chris Allen: Mandolin, Electric Guitar. For what it's worth, Chris is an original member of the band. Despite being a competent musician in his own right, he continues to play music with us. What a good guy. Go see him play with Chris Allen and the Guilty Hearts, and The Lonesome Stars.

Doug McKean: Singing, Acoustic Guitar. Dave's brother, singer/guitarist for Doug McKean and the Stuntmen.

Dave McKean: Drums. Doug's brother. Go see Dave play in The Magpies too.

Ryan Foltz: Tin Whistle A founding member of the band, he left us for a while to play tin whistle and mandolin for the Dropkick Murphys. Now he's back with us, ripping-off The Pogues for real this time.

Nick Stipanovich: Accordion. Along with Doug, Nick has a record of perfect attendance for every Boys from the County Hell performance. We can't do this shit without him.

Aaron Pacitti: Banjo. Fonz used to play guitar with us, now he's crazy over his banjo. He's a graduate student in Economics at American University in Washington D.C.

Chris Yohn: Fiddle, Tin Whistle. A founding member of the band until, in a fit of rage, he quit by throwing his brand new banjo into a large body of water. Being the forgiving (and desperate) folks they are, the Boys let him back into the band a few years later. What a bunch of good guys.

Tom Prebish: Bass. Our long-time bass player, Tom will NOT be leaving us soon to relocate to Los Angeles.
